Also called Ryukyu Scale and Okinawan.
Two open-string notes belong to A♯ Ionian Pentatonic, namely A and D. Down at the 1st fret of the A string lies the lowest A♯ a guitar can play. The first three frets carry a complete octave of this mode, a genuine open-position shape.
