Its notes are B, C♯, D, D♯, E, F, F♯, G♯, and A. The formula is W H H H H H W H W.
Also called Nine-Note Blues and Blues Enneatonic.
E, A, D, and B are open guitar strings that sit inside the scale, ready to drone under a riff. A guitarist finds the lowest B at the 2nd fret of the A string. With a capo at the second fret, B Composite Blues can be played with A-shape fingerings.
