About the B Hungarian Major scale
B Hungarian Major is used for Hungarian and Romani folk and orchestral music. Think of it as a bright, fiery scale with a raised second and fourth.
Its notes are B, C♯♯, D♯, E♯, F♯, G♯, and A. The formula is 1½ H W H W H W. It is the sixth mode of D♯ Harmonic Minor ♭5.
Also called Nasikabhushani.
The open-string notes A, D, and B all sit inside the scale. On guitar, the deepest B within reach is the 2nd fret of the A string. Placed at the second fret, a capo lets B Hungarian Major be played with A-shape fingerings.
