C sharp Persian is used for Middle Eastern flavored and film music. Think of it as a dramatic seven-note scale with a flat second, flat fifth and flat sixth.
Its notes are C♯, D, E♯, F♯, G, A, and B♯. The formula is H 1½ H H W 1½ H.
In C♯ Persian, the open strings sound A, D, and G. Down at the 4th fret of the A string lies the lowest C♯ a guitar can play. With a capo at the first fret, C♯ Persian can be played with C-shape fingerings.
