About the D flat Lydian 6/9 Pentatonic scale

D flat Lydian 6/9 Pentatonic is used for floating major-key colors and 6/9 chord voicings with a lydian shimmer. Think of it as a bright five-note scale, a major 6/9 chord with a raised fourth folded in.

Its notes are D, E, G, A, and B. The formula is W 4 semitones H W 1½. It is the fifth mode of E Mixolydian Pentatonic.

An unfretted guitar already sounds G from the mode. A guitarist finds the lowest D at the 4th fret of the A string. Capo the first fret to play D Lydian 6/9 Pentatonic with C-shape fingerings.
