About the D flat Mixolydian b2 scale
D flat Mixolydian b2 is used for jazz and world-flavored solos over dominant chords. Think of it as a dominant scale with a flat second, bright but with a dark half step.
Its notes are D♭, E♭♭, F, G♭, A♭, B♭, and C♭. The formula is H 1½ H W W H W. It is the fifth mode of G♭ Harmonic Major.
Also called Inverted Harmonic Minor and Ahir Bhairav.
This mode shares D and B with the guitar's open strings. Down at the 4th fret of the A string lies the lowest D♭ a guitar can play. Capo the first fret to play D♭ Mixolydian ♭2 with C-shape fingerings.
