Its notes are A, B, C, E, and F. The formula is W H 4 semitones H 4 semitones. It is the second mode of F Chinese.
Also called Aeolian Pentatonic and Yona Nuki Minor.
Three open-string notes belong to A Hirajoshi (Japanese), namely E, A, and B. The lowest A on a guitar is the open A string. This mode plays in open position, a whole octave of the scale falling within the first three frets.
