About the B Minor Blues scale
B Minor Blues is used for blues, rock and soul solos. Think of it as the minor pentatonic with one extra blue note, the classic blues sound. It is B Blues Diminished with the third raised.
Its notes are B, D, E, F, F♯, and A. The formula is 1½ W H H 1½ W.
Also called Blues Scale and Blues Hexatonic.
An unfretted guitar already sounds E, A, D, and B from the scale. The 2nd fret of the A string is the lowest B on the neck. A capo at the second fret brings B Minor Blues within reach of A-shape fingerings.
