Its notes are B, C♯, D♯, E, F♯, G♯, and A. The formula is W W H W W H W. It is the fifth mode of E Major.
Also called Dominant Scale and Khamaj.
Three open-string notes belong to B Mixolydian, namely E, A, and B. The 2nd fret of the A string is the lowest B on the neck. A capo at the second fret lets a guitarist play B Mixolydian with A-shape fingerings.
