Its notes are F, G, A, B♭, C, D, and E♭. The formula is W W H W W H W. It is the fifth mode of B♭ Major.
Also called Dominant Scale and Khamaj.
In F Mixolydian, the open strings sound A, D, and G. On guitar, the deepest F within reach is the 1st fret of the low E string. This scale sits in true open position, with a complete octave of the scale inside the first three frets.
