About the A sharp Bebop 7#11 scale

A sharp Bebop 7#11 is used for bebop solos over dominant chords with a raised eleventh. Think of it as a Lydian dominant filled out into a bebop scale. It is A Bebop Dominant with the fourth raised.

Its notes are A, B, D, E, E, G, G, and A. The formula is W W W H W H H H.

Also called Bebop Lydian Dominant.

Four open-string notes belong to A Bebop 7#11, namely E, A, D, and G. A guitarist finds the lowest A at the 1st fret of the A string. The first three frets carry a complete octave of the scale, a genuine open-position shape.
