G sharp Bebop 7#11 is used for bebop solos over dominant chords with a raised eleventh. Think of it as a Lydian dominant filled out into a bebop scale. It is G Bebop Dominant with the fourth raised.

Its notes are G, A, B, D, D, E, F, and G. The formula is W W W H W H H H.

Also called Bebop Lydian Dominant.

In G Bebop 7#11, the open strings sound D and G. Down at the 4th fret of the low E string lies the lowest G a guitar can play. Placed at the first fret, a capo lets G Bebop 7#11 be played with G-shape fingerings.
