About the B Tritone scale
B Tritone is used for jazz and film music that wants a symmetrical, unstable color. Think of it as a symmetrical six-note scale built on the tritone. It is B Blues Diminished with the third lowered.
Its notes are B, C, D♯, E♯, F♯, and A. The formula is H 1½ W H 1½ W.
A and B are open guitar strings that sit inside this scale, ready to drone under a riff. Down at the 2nd fret of the A string lies the lowest B a guitar can play. Placed at the second fret, a capo lets B Tritone be played with A-shape fingerings.
