About the C sharp Hybrid Hexachord scale
C sharp Hybrid Hexachord is used for experimental and cinematic writing. Think of it as a six-note scale that mixes a flat second with a raised fifth.
Its notes are C♯, D, E♯, F♯, A, and A♯. The formula is H 1½ H 1½ H 1½.
Also called Ode to Napoleon Hexachord and Six-Tone Symmetrical.
The open-string notes A and D all sit inside the key. The 4th fret of the A string is the lowest C♯ on the neck. Capo the first fret to play C♯ Hybrid Hexachord with C-shape fingerings.
