Its notes are D, E, F, G, A, B, C, and C. The formula is W H W W H W H H. It is the seventh mode of F Bebop Major.

Also called Bebop Natural Minor and Utility Minor.

Four open-string notes belong to D Bebop Harmonic Minor, namely E, A, D, and G. On guitar, the deepest D within reach is the 5th fret of the A string. The scale plays in open position, a whole octave of the scale falling within the first three frets.
