About the D sharp Lydian #2 #6 scale
D sharp Lydian #2 #6 is used for experimental jazz and film scoring. Think of it as a heavily sharpened Lydian, raised second, fourth and sixth.
Its notes are D♯, E♯♯, F♯♯, G♯♯, A♯, B♯♯, and C♯♯. The formula is 1½ H W H 1½ H H. It is the second mode of C♯♯ Double Harmonic Major.
Also called Rasikapriya.
The mode shares A, D, and G with the guitar's open strings. A guitarist finds the lowest D♯ at the 6th fret of the A string. With a capo at the first fret, D♯ Lydian ♯2 ♯6 can be played with D-shape fingerings.
