About the G sharp Lydian #2 #6 scale
G sharp Lydian #2 #6 is used for experimental jazz and film scoring. Think of it as a heavily sharpened Lydian, raised second, fourth and sixth.
Its notes are G♯, A♯♯, B♯, C♯♯, D♯, E♯♯, and F♯♯. The formula is 1½ H W H 1½ H H. It is the second mode of F♯♯ Double Harmonic Major.
Also called Rasikapriya.
An unfretted guitar already sounds D, G, and B from the key. On guitar, the deepest G♯ within reach is the 4th fret of the low E string. With a capo at the first fret, G♯ Lydian ♯2 ♯6 can be played with G-shape fingerings.
