A Bebop Altered is used for bebop solos over altered dominant chords. Think of it as an altered dominant color built into a bebop scale.
Its notes are A, B♭, C♯, D, E, F, G, and G♯. The formula is H 1½ H W H W H H.
Also called Bebop Phrygian Dominant and Altered Bebop.
The open-string notes E, A, D, and G all sit inside A Bebop Altered. The open A string is the lowest A on the neck.
