About the D Bebop Altered scale

D Bebop Altered is used for bebop solos over altered dominant chords. Think of it as an altered dominant color built into a bebop scale.

Its notes are D, E, F, G, A, B, C, and C. The formula is H 1½ H W H W H H.

Also called Bebop Phrygian Dominant and Altered Bebop.

D Bebop Altered shares A, D, and G with the guitar's open strings. The 5th fret of the A string is the lowest D on the neck.
