About the F Bebop Altered scale

F Bebop Altered is used for bebop solos over altered dominant chords. Think of it as an altered dominant color built into a bebop scale.

Its notes are F, G, A, B, C, D, E, and E. The formula is H 1½ H W H W H H.

Also called Bebop Phrygian Dominant and Altered Bebop.

In F Bebop Altered, the open strings sound E and A. On guitar, the deepest F within reach is the 1st fret of the low E string. Capo the first fret to play F Bebop Altered with E-shape fingerings.
