Its notes are A♯, B♯, C♯, E♯, and F♯. The formula is W H 4 semitones H 4 semitones. It is the second mode of F♯ Chinese.
Also called Aeolian Pentatonic and Yona Nuki Minor.
The lowest A♯ on a standard-tuned guitar sits at the 1st fret of the A string. A capo at the first fret lets a guitarist play A♯ Hirajoshi (Japanese) with A-shape fingerings.
