About the E flat Scriabin scale
E flat Scriabin is used for impressionist and mystical concert music. Think of it as a five-note scale from the late, mystical harmony of Scriabin. It is E♭ Major Pentatonic with the second lowered.
Its notes are E♭, F♭, G, B♭, and C. The formula is H 1½ 1½ W 1½.
Also called Major Pentatonic ♭2 and Vibhas.
Two open-string notes belong to E♭ Scriabin, namely E and G. The lowest E♭ on a standard-tuned guitar sits at the 6th fret of the A string. A capo at the first fret lets a guitarist play E♭ Scriabin with D-shape fingerings.
