F sharp Bebop Altered is used for bebop solos over altered dominant chords. Think of it as an altered dominant color built into a bebop scale.
Its notes are F♯, G, A♯, B, C♯, D, E, and E♯. The formula is H 1½ H W H W H H.
Also called Bebop Phrygian Dominant and Altered Bebop.
E, D, G, and B are open guitar strings that sit inside the mode, ready to drone under a riff. A guitarist finds the lowest F♯ at the 2nd fret of the low E string. Capo the second fret to play F♯ Bebop Altered with E-shape fingerings.
