A Bebop Dorian is used for bebop and swing minor solos. Think of it as a dorian scale with a chromatic passing tone between third and fourth.
Its notes are A, B, C, C♯, D, E, F♯, and G. The formula is W H H H W W H W. It is the fifth mode of D Bebop Dominant.
Also called Dorian Bebop.
The open-string notes E, A, D, G, and B all sit inside A Bebop Dorian. On guitar, the deepest A rings from the open A string.
