A sharp Bebop Dorian is used for bebop and swing minor solos. Think of it as a dorian scale with a chromatic passing tone between third and fourth.
Its notes are A♯, B♯, C♯, D, D♯, E♯, G, and G♯. The formula is W H H H W W H W. It is the fifth mode of D♯ Bebop Dominant.
Also called Dorian Bebop.
Two open-string notes belong to A♯ Bebop Dorian, namely D and G. A guitarist finds the lowest A♯ at the 1st fret of the A string. A capo at the first fret lets a guitarist play A♯ Bebop Dorian with A-shape fingerings.
