About the D sharp Bebop Dorian scale
D sharp Bebop Dorian is used for bebop and swing minor solos. Think of it as a dorian scale with a chromatic passing tone between third and fourth.
Its notes are D♯, E♯, F♯, G, G♯, A♯, B♯, and C♯. The formula is W H H H W W H W. It is the fifth mode of G♯ Bebop Dominant.
Also called Dorian Bebop.
An unfretted guitar already sounds G from the mode. A guitarist finds the lowest D♯ at the 6th fret of the A string. A capo at the first fret lets a guitarist play D♯ Bebop Dorian with D-shape fingerings.
