About the A sharp Synthetic scale
A sharp Synthetic is used for experimental and cinematic writing. Think of it as a made-up six-note scale with a raised fourth and a flat sixth. It is A♯ Whole Tone with the seventh raised.
Its notes are A♯, B♯, D, E, F♯, and A. The formula is W W W W 1½ H. It is the sixth mode of B♯ Prometheus.
E, A, and D are open guitar strings that sit inside the mode, ready to drone under a riff. The 1st fret of the A string is the lowest A♯ on the neck. A capo at the first fret lets a guitarist play A♯ Synthetic with A-shape fingerings.
