About the E flat Prometheus scale
E flat Prometheus is used for impressionist and mystical concert music. Think of it as the mystic chord of Scriabin turned into a scale, a raised fourth with no fifth. It is E♭ Whole Tone with the sixth raised.
Its notes are E♭, F, G, A, C, and C♯. The formula is W W W 1½ H W.
Also called Mystic Scale and Mystic Chord.
An unfretted guitar already sounds A and G from the key. A guitarist finds the lowest E♭ at the 6th fret of the A string. A capo at the first fret lets a guitarist play E♭ Prometheus with D-shape fingerings.
