About the A sharp Scriabin scale
A sharp Scriabin is used for impressionist and mystical concert music. Think of it as a five-note scale from the late, mystical harmony of Scriabin. It is A♯ Major Pentatonic with the second lowered.
Its notes are A♯, B, D, E♯, and G. The formula is H 1½ 1½ W 1½.
Also called Major Pentatonic ♭2 and Vibhas.
D, G, and B are open guitar strings that sit inside A♯ Scriabin, ready to drone under a riff. The lowest A♯ on a standard-tuned guitar sits at the 1st fret of the A string. The key plays in open position, a whole octave of the scale falling within the first three frets.
