C sharp Scriabin is used for impressionist and mystical concert music. Think of it as a five-note scale from the late, mystical harmony of Scriabin. It is C♯ Major Pentatonic with the second lowered.
Its notes are C♯, D, E♯, G♯, and A♯. The formula is H 1½ 1½ W 1½.
Also called Major Pentatonic ♭2 and Vibhas.
D is an open guitar string that sits inside the mode, ready to drone under a riff. The lowest C♯ on a standard-tuned guitar sits at the 4th fret of the A string. A capo at the first fret brings C♯ Scriabin within reach of C-shape fingerings.
