About the G sharp Scriabin scale
G sharp Scriabin is used for impressionist and mystical concert music. Think of it as a five-note scale from the late, mystical harmony of Scriabin. It is G♯ Major Pentatonic with the second lowered.
Its notes are G♯, A, B♯, D♯, and E♯. The formula is H 1½ 1½ W 1½.
Also called Major Pentatonic ♭2 and Vibhas.
The open-string note A sits inside this mode. The lowest G♯ on a standard-tuned guitar sits at the 4th fret of the low E string. Placed at the first fret, a capo lets G♯ Scriabin be played with G-shape fingerings.
